In presence of two conductive plates, the electromagnetic field oscillations should satisfy the requirement of zeroing the electric field on the plates themselves. As a consequence of this condition, in the space between the plates only those oscillations can exist, whose half-wavelength is a SUBMULTIPLE OF THE DISTANCE BETWEEN PLATES. |
