One of the most fascinating problems of physics nowadays is to find out what dark matter is. In this seminar I will introduce the dark matter problem and then talk about one of the most motivated candidate: the axion. Most of the experiments which aim to detect this particle are based on its conversion into a photon inside a background magnetic field. We study instead the spontaneous decay of the axion and in particular we focus on the possibility to detect a signal with future radio-telescopes like SKA. We consider three different targets, namely dwarf galaxies, galactic center and clusters, and different SKA configurations.
